ROLE:

Saavn is seeking a highly motivated Finance professional to be a key member of our dynamic Finance team.  You will be primarily responsible for U.S. Accounting and support the existing Accounting team in the U.S. and India on U.S. and non-U.S. work (as and when required). This is a hands-on role with flexible work timings depending upon the requirement. You will report to the Director of Finance based in the U.S. and work very closely with the India Finance team. RESPONSIBILITIES:​​

  • Preparing MIS reports on a monthly, quarterly basis
  • Tracking actuals against budgets and analyzing variances with the Business teams
  • Analyze and reconcile all balance sheet accounts and maintain schedules
  • Review and adjust departmentalized P&L and Record payroll in Quickbooks
  • Prepare journal entries in QuickBooks as required
  • Record intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany account at quarter end
  • Record capitalization of intangible asset and amortize on monthly basis
  • Record accruals at month end and responding to vendor / Partner queries
  • Managing Accounts Receivable / Payable and ensuring optimization of funds and cash flow
  • Importing AMEX credit card activity into Quickbooks and coding and posting to GL
  • Paying invoices and Quarterly commission calculation for the Brand Solutions team
  • Direct, network and Pro revenue calculations, including deferred revenue
  • Recording Sales Invoices, Purchase invoices and Bank receipts and Payments, Fixed Assets capitalization, Amortisation of content costs and prepaid expenses, Marketing expenses etc. in Quickbooks
  • Handle US tax, statutory, internal and other audits from a time to time basis
  • Ability to handle India-related work and activities at any point of time
  • Creating and Managing India entity in US books and updating of the same on periodic basis

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Expert knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Consolidation of global entities and U.S. Tax laws
  • Expert knowledge of Quickbooks
  • A Commerce graduate with specialization in Accounting preferably with a post-graduation degree or diploma in Accounting
  • Candidates with prior experience from a BPO (U.S. experience) would be preferred (nice to have). Minimum experience required for this role is 7-10 years
  • Ability to coach/mentor team member to achieve desired function and business objectives
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives 
  • Detailed knowledge of U.S. GAAP/IND AS/IFRS (must have)
  • Ability to meet statutory and assigned deadlines 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus 
  • Ability and willingness for hands-on working for Quickbooks / Tally / any other ERP
  • Strong Spreadsheet/Excel skills (macros etc.) (must have)
  • A strong working knowledge of technical accounting and business matters
  • Ability to listen to the needs of the business units, comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, research complex matters
  • Able to present findings as well as recommendations in both oral and written presentations
  • Knowledge of documentation and understanding internal checks and controls and processes
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills and abilities
  • High energy and positive attitude
