Associate Vice President, Subscription Lead

JioSaavn is seeking a self-motivated and passionate Associate Vice President, Subscription Lead to join our dynamic and global organization. As an Associate Vice President of Subscription Lead, you will create and drive major commercial opportunities for JioSaavn through building business development and partnerships. This role reports directly to the CEO.


  • Lead JioSaavn’s subscription business model responsible for revenues and expenses
  • Manage an existing book of business whilst ensuring that our existing clients renew their subscriptions
  • Deliver growth on JioSaavn’s subscription numbers and business globally including our subscription product offerings, strategy, marketing and global partnerships
  • Identify and manage a pipeline of prospective strategic partnerships that contributes to JioSaavn’s overall revenue model
  • Lead discussions and negotiations with partners/prospects
  • Build commercial models and business plans, including with partners and clients
  • Develop overall subscriber acquisition and retention strategies and lead flawless delivery of those strategies
  • Responsible for maximizing revenues across the portfolio through effective relationships with key clients and internal teams
  • Focus on new business activity with existing clients as well as prospecting of new clients and client acquisition to strengthen results via strategic partnerships
  • Build JioSaavn brand through exciting integrated consumer communication and global campaigns
  • Craft a compelling proposition and pricing for JioSaavn’s Subscription business including if needed, re-design of its packaging
  • Create ongoing lifecycle communications to drive lasting loyalty with JioSaavn subscription members
  • Be the ‘go-to‘ person for the partners’ needs, defining and executing on the long-term partner relationship
  • Seek and secure revenue growth opportunities, and carry out detailed partner analysis
  • Develop and cultivate relationships at the highest levels within existing subscribers and prospects
  • Ensure that JioSaavn’s commitments in a partner relationship are delivered (e.g., marketing, data reporting, etc.) as well as follow-up on the partner’s dedications
  • Manage internal approvals including interacting with relevant functions (e.g., Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance)
  • Drive cross-functional teams towards deal objectives
  • Operate at pace to deliver significant commercial impact


  • Overall 12+ years of professional experience. Deep brand experience is a must!
  • Master’s Degree in Business or similar
  • Experience in building a consumer subscription business will be an advantage
  • A key decision maker in a senior marketing role, preferably within consumer technology
  • Strong marketing skills spanning consumer insights, brand and pricing, and experience with integrated marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrate ability to build, lead, and mentor high performing teams
  • Strong relationship management skills. Ability to partner cross-functionally and influence outcomes without direct reporting lines
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong at account management and growth
  • Consultative approach to selling
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Proven track record of meeting revenue targets through subscriptions and strategic partnerships
