JioSaavn is seeking a seasoned Associate-Director of Brand Solutions to work with cross-functional teams internally to communicate advertiser needs and requirements. You will be responsible for driving revenue, growth and customer satisfaction. Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the Brand Solutions team, while maintaining focus on the company's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be the primary point of contact for JioSaavn’s advertisers specific to US brands, media buyers and multicultural agencies. This role reports directly to the Global Vice President of Brand Solutions and Strategic Alliances.


  • Develop nationwide coverage for top advertisers and own large, multi-year business relationships with brands and agencies
  • Sell display advertising (video, mobile, programmatic), audio formats, and other ad space in order to grow advertising revenues by creating, maintaining, and sustaining relationships with media agencies, creative agencies, and clients directly
  • Drive the sales management process as well as play a hands-on role in driving sales, generating leads and opening doors for JioSaavn
  • Work across multiple agency departments, i.e. radio, digital, branded content and innovation teams, to deliver successful campaigns
  • Coordinate with the communications planning team and strategic planners, account directors, and buyers to create successful ad campaigns
  • Focus on brand sell, educating and inspiring our clients to use JioSaavn to enhance their business
  • Meet and exceed advertising revenue goals
  • Determine short and long-range sales revenue plans per property, vertical, account, territory, annual revenue budgets; tactical action plans
  • Pitch, close and manage deals with major brand advertisers
  • Respond to agency Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
  • Use both qualitative and quantitative research to support benefits of brands

  • Brainstorm with internal teams to create the most creative and strategic media plans and RFP recommendations
  • Attend weekly and monthly sales meetings as required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience
  • MBA is a plus!
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in interactive ad sales/digital agency with a track record of successfully managing client relations, negotiating and closing deals
  • Must have strong understanding of digital marketplace (Digital Audio, programmatic, etc.) as well as an understanding of the competitive landscape
  • Sales-focused and experience in digital/radio/mobile/online media planning or buying
  • Must have a good rapport with digital agencies and clients in the US, UK and Canada
  • Skill set must include expertise in digital solution selling, pricing, inventory control, brand building initiatives, promotion and campaign management
  • Have the ability and willingness to work on potential prospects, cold call, negotiate, and close deals
  • Have a sound understanding of current online advertising trends and various
  • advertising metrics
  • Excellent communications skills including ability to communicate clearly, professionally, both verbally and written, and at a level suitable for a variety of audiences
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • The ability to build a pipeline and proven track record of exceeding goals
  • A deep understanding of digital ecosystem, Salesforce or related CRM
  • A team player, smart, adapt well with change and have a positive attitude
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment and across external and internal teams to deliver creative, fresh campaigns
  • A great presentation skills and a wizard with Microsoft Office products
  • Know how to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate efficiently
